DOD Letter To Congress On EP-3E Sustainment

The March 12, 2014, letter sent to the Senate by Adm. James Winnefeld, the vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Michael Vickers, under secretary of defense for intelligence, states the Navy will be unable to support its ailing EP-3E Airborne Reconnaissance Integrated Electronic System II and Special Projects Aircraft platform at current levels while standing up follow-on capabilities with current funding.
