The Senate Armed Services Committee last week blasted the Navy's plan to postpone a decision on whether or not to retire the aircraft carrier George Washington, recommending a provision that would prohibit the service from using fiscal year 2015 funds to inactivate the ship, according to a report that accompanied the committee's FY-15 defense authorization bill.
