On July 2, 2014, the Government Accountability Office's comptroller general issued a redacted explanation of why it denied a protest by Raytheon and Kongsberg that was aimed at forcing the government to compete a follow-on development contract for the Long Range Anti-Ship Missile after the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency proposed awarding a sole-source deal to Lockheed Martin.
