Flynn: Marines Will Keep Expeditionary Capability Regardless of EFV

The Marine Corps is committed to developing its seabasing and ship-to-shore capabilities even if the Pentagon cancels the Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle program, according to the head of Marine Corps Combat Development Command. Lt. Gen. George Flynn told reporters at a roundtable last week that the Ground Tactical Vehicle Strategy he has been tasked with drafting does contain a backup plan in case the EFV is axed, though he declined to go into detail about alternatives before the strategy is finalized...
