Naval Air Systems Command is in the planning stages of pursuing a third multiyear contract to purchase another batch of Bell-Boeing's V-22 tiltrotor Ospreys between fiscal years 2018 and 2022. The multiyear deal, which requires congressional authorization, would cover an estimated 56 V-22 aircraft over the five years, according to a Sept. 29 notice posted to the Federal Business Opportunities website.
