DOD acquisition leaders to debate Army proposals for missile-defense radar

Pentagon acquisition leaders are expected to meet Nov. 12 to consider Army proposals for a new ground-based radar meant to be the centerpiece of the service's emerging missile-defense architecture, according to sources. The meeting of the Study Advisory Group at the Office of the Secretary of Defense level is the culmination of an analysis of alternatives recently circulated among Army officials.
