Leidos to combine with Lockheed's IT services business in $5 billion deal

Leidos said Tuesday it has agreed to combine its company with Lockheed Martin's IT services business in a deal that would create the largest government services contractor with about $10 billion in annual sales and roughly 33,000 employees. The transaction creates a new high-water mark in the government services industry, which has been rapidly reshaping to adjust to tighter budgets.
