Huey replacement program could cost $1.4 billion for 41 helicopters

The recapitalization effort for the Air Force's nuclear convoy helicopters would cost $1.4 billion, Air Force officials confirmed Wednesday. The Air Force's estimate is focused solely on the UH-1N Huey's nuclear convoy mission and would include 41 helicopters, Lt. Gen. Arnold Bunch, the Air Force's military deputy for acquisition, told the House Armed Services tactical air and land forces subcommittee on Wednesday.
