Lawmakers seek review, new strategy on DOD's missile defeat policy

Lawmakers are calling on senior defense leaders to examine the Pentagon's missile defeat policy and create a new strategy for it. The House Armed Services strategic forces subcommittee's mark of the fiscal year 2017 defense policy bill, which was released this week, calls for the defense secretary and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to "conduct a new review" by January 2018.
