House appropriators seek more information about background investigations reform

The House Appropriations defense subcommittee is seeking more details about planned changes to the federal background investigations process, according to its report accompanying the fiscal year 2017 spending bill. Under a plan unveiled early this year, the Obama administration would task the Pentagon with taking over the IT systems related to background investigations.
