Army official says single-profile medical system provides more information

The Army's new single-profile medical system is expected to give commanders a sharper view of their soldiers' overall readiness, a top Army medical official told reporters during an Aug. 18 breakfast. "The feedback from the commanders right now is that they really like it," Army Surgeon General Lt. Gen. Nadja West said. West explained that the new system, called the Commander Portal, consolidates medical information for each soldier into one profile to categorize each person as either "deployable" or "non-deployable."...
