Neller: Marines may install active vehicle protection systems on ACV, JLTV

The Marine Corps may install active vehicle protection systems on the Amphibious Combat Vehicle and Joint Light Tactical Vehicle to combat the anti-access/area denial threat, according to service Commandant Gen. Robert Neller. Neller said the active vehicle protection systems in existence are not lightweight but it is better to have them installed on a truck than hanging armor on it later.
