LCS-4 'suffered an engineering casualty' while transiting to the Western Pacific

The fourth Littoral Combat Ship recently "suffered an engineering casualty" while transiting from Hawaii to the Western Pacific, according to the Navy. On Aug. 26, the Coronado (LCS-4) left Hawaii on an independent deployment to the Western Pacific. Prior to departing Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, HI, the ship participated in the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise. An Aug. 30 statement issued by 3rd Fleet does not specifically describe the engineering casualty, but states the ship's crew identified the problem...
