The fourth Littoral Combat Ship recently "suffered an engineering casualty" while transiting from Hawaii to the Western Pacific, according to the Navy. On Aug. 26, the Coronado (LCS-4) left Hawaii on an independent deployment to the Western Pacific. Prior to departing Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, HI, the ship participated in the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise.
