Naval Sea Systems Command plans to award a contract in May or June 2017 for vertical launch payloads for submarines once interested companies submit white papers in the beginning of fiscal year 2017. The service is calling for white papers from industry for advance research and development technologies in areas of acoustic, chemical, optical, electromagnetic, radiological and hydrodynamics phenomenology.
