L-3 acquires Aerosim

L-3 Communications said this week it has acquired Aerosim, including Aerosim Technologies and Aerosim Flight Academy.

The company did not disclose the price. It said the acquisition will be integrated into L-3 Commercial Training Solutions, which is part of its electronic systems business.

Aerosim, which is expected to generate about $50 million in sales next year, specializes in commercial training. Aerosim Technologies creates portable pilot and maintenance technician training products, while Aerosim Academy trains U.S. and international prospective airline pilots, according to L-3.
