Navy, USMC spent 52.7 percent more on Growler, Hornet mishaps in 2016

In 2016, the Navy and Marine Corps spent 52.7 percent more than the previous year on F/A-18 Hornet and E/A-18G Growler Class A mishaps, according to Naval Safety Center documents. This year, naval aviation suffered 10 Hornet and Growler Class A mishaps, costing a total of $698.3 million, the documents show.
