Navy letter on accelerating development of three programs

On Dec. 2, 2016, Navy acquisition chief Sean Stackley and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. John Richardson penned a joint letter to the deputy chief of naval operations for warfare systems (N9) and deputy assistant secretary of the Navy for research, development, test and evaluation directing them to provide a recommendation to the Accelerated Acquisition Board of Director's (AA BOD) by Jan. 27 on the feasibility of accelerating the MQ-25 Stingray, the Large Diameter Unmanned Underwater Vehicle and the surface ship laser weapon system.
