The Senate Armed Services Committee has approved President Trump's nomination of Heather Wilson to be Air Force secretary by a 22-5 vote. On March 30, Wilson testified before the committee regarding her nomination. Wilson's nomination now goes to the Senate floor. Wilson is a former congresswoman from New Mexico, defense lobbyist and current president of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
