DOD commercial-based, SAR satellite reprogramming request

In a July 26, 2017, reprogramming request signed by Pentagon Comptroller David Norquist, the Defense Department asks Congress to approve a $50 million transfer to a program that would develop a commercially based, micro-synthetic aperture radar satellite prototype aimed at using "deep learning analytics" to improve the speed and exploitation of raw satellite imagery.
