AeroVironment boosts sales, profit

AeroVironment said today sales during its most recent quarter reached nearly $74 million, up 47 percent from the same three-month period a year earlier.

The company reported quarterly profit of $7 million, up from a $4 million loss the prior year.

AeroVironment attributed the revenue growth to increased sales in its unmanned aircraft systems segment.
