Mattis previews new FY-19 tech investments to cover China, Russia

Defense Secretary Jim Mattis today told lawmakers the Pentagon's upcoming fiscal year 2019 budget request will make new investments in emerging technology areas necessary to address threats from China and Russia. "We will invest in key capabilities, recognizing we cannot expect success fighting tomorrow's conflicts with yesterday's weapons and equipment," he said during a House Armed Services Committee hearing.
