MAPS to give Army plug-and-play sensor ability

HUNTSVILLE, AL -- The Army is in the midst of testing a common controller base kit for the service’s desired Modular Active Protection System. The Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center in late 2015 awarded Lockheed Martin two contracts as a partner effort, for hardware and software, to develop the MAPS controller and last year received five units.
