Marines look to U.S. allies for lighter-weight track for amphib vehicles

The Marine Corps is looking to U.S. allies to find a lighter-weight track that will enhance land mobility and water-swim capabilities of its amphibious vehicle fleet. The service envisions purchasing new tracks to outfit both the Assault Amphibious Vehicle Survivability Upgrade and the legacy platform, Marine Corps spokesman Manny Pacheco told Inside the Navy April 27.
