Key Issues Budget 'parity' Summer CUAS demo EW in Ukraine
Lockheed Martin this week received a five-year contract worth up to $12.5 million for high-powered microwave technology to counter unmanned aircraft systems.
The cost-plus-fixed-fee award was given on a sole-source basis due to Lockheed's “proprietary intellectual property,” according to an Aug. 3 notice posted to Federal Business Opportunities.
Lockheed will develop an airborne system expected to defend against explosives, nets, entanglers and streamers and high-powered-microwaves.
