Army quadruples FARA funding in FY-20 to speed up schedule

The Army nearly quadruples funding for the Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft in its fiscal year 2020 request over its FY-19 projection as the service plans to rapidly pull forward development of the light-attack reconnaissance helicopter. The Army is seeking $427 million in FY-20 research, development, test and evaluation funding for the FARA, according to the service's RDT&E budget justification book .
