SAIC unveils strategic partnership with investment team

Science Applications International Corp. said today it has entered into a strategic partnership with investment team Franklin Venture Partners in a bid to "broaden its access and exposure to emerging technologies developed by startup companies across the United States."

The contractor said the alliance will provide it with investment opportunities and access to commercial technologies.

Franklin Venture Partners is a specialized team within investment firm Franklin Templeton, according to SAIC.

The company said the move is part of a broader effort to increase SAIC's work with startups and accelerators. SAIC recently opened an office in Austin, TX, and joined a space-focused accelerator program called Techstars Starburst Space Accelerator.
