Austin's connection to Raytheon will likely be scrutinized during confirmation

President-elect Biden has said he intends to nominate retired Army Gen. Lloyd Austin for defense secretary, putting a spotlight on the former four-star's time as a member of Raytheon Technologies' board of directors. Austin, a 40-year Army veteran who previously served as chief of U.S. Central Command, retired from the military in 2016 and joined Raytheon's board shortly thereafter.
