Boeing announced today it is not protesting the Missile Defense Agency's Next Generation Interceptor source selection.
The way is now clear for Lockheed Martin and a Northrop Grumman-Raytheon team to begin in earnest work on the first phase of the project to design a new guided-missile to protect the United States from North Korean long-range rockets.
"After a careful review of the U.S. Missile Defense Agency’s decision, Boeing has decided not to file a protest in the Next Generation Interceptor competition," Megan Gessner, a Boeing spokeswoman, told Inside Defense April 19.
