Oshkosh announces hybrid-electric JLTV

Oshkosh Defense has developed a hybrid-electric version of the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle, the company announced today. The hybrid variant, which the company calls the eJLTV, adds a 30-kilowatt-hour battery and electric motors to the vehicle, which bring silent drive, silent watch and increased exportable power capabilities, company officials said on a call with reporters.
