The State Department announced today it is accepting membership applications for the Defense Trade Advisory Group.

DTAG provides "a formal channel for regular consultation and coordination with U.S. private-sector defense exporters and defense trade organizations on issues involving U.S. laws, policies, and regulations for munitions exports," a notice in today's Federal Register reads.

The department's Industry and Security Bureau "is interested in applications from subject matter experts from the United States defense industry, relevant trade and labor associations, and academic and foundation personnel," according to the notice.

Applications need to be postmarked by Feb. 25.
