Air Force testing Boeing-developed pylons for B-1

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK -- The Air Force is conducting tests through the summer on pylons developed by Boeing to add payload capacity to the B-1 Lancer, a Boeing executive said Wednesday. Boeing’s Load Adaptive Modular Pylons are at Edwards Air Force Base, CA for ground testing, Senior Director of Bombers Jennifer Wong told reporters. Boeing paid for reporters’ travel and lodging for a facility tour in Oklahoma City. Funding for the ground testing and captive-carry tests expected later this summer...
