SOUTHCOM sends Congress $322M unfunded priorities request

U.S. Southern Command has sent Congress a list identifying $322 million in unfunded priorities for fiscal year 2025, according to a document obtained by Inside Defense. The first item on the FY-25 list, and with the highest price tag at $90 million, identifies the unfunded need for a new command-and-control facility to house Joint-Interagency Task Force-South, which is charged with a counternarcotics mission but is operating out of an outdated facility in Key West, FL, prone to severe weather...
