DOD acquisition chief heading to Japan to cement defense industrial cooperation

Pentagon acquisition chief Bill LaPlante is departing for a weeklong trip to Japan to reinforce defense industrial cooperation between Washington and Tokyo. A statement from the Pentagon notes that LaPlante will conduct the first U.S.-Japan Defense Industrial Cooperation, Acquisition and Sustainment Forum (DICAS) alongside Masaki Fukasawa, commissioner of Japan’s Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Agency.
