Lawmakers release updated defense reconciliation bill with funding changes

House and Senate lawmakers have released an updated version of the defense portion of the GOP's massive budget reconciliation bill, changing funding amounts in several key areas, including cuts to the military's support for border security operations. The updated $150 billion bill, released by the House and Senate Armed Services committees, includes the following changes: Decreases funding available for military border support operations to $1 billion (a $2.3 billion cut) Reduces funding for the National Defense Stockpile to $2 billion...
