Three New Markings Could Replace Plethora of 'FOUO'-Like Labels

White House officials are considering a recommendation to reduce to just three the more than 100 markings used throughout the government to identify sensitive-but-unclassified information, InsideDefense.com has learned. "For official use only" is one common marking used widely by the military. The recommendation is included in a recent report by Thomas McNamara, the program manager for the Information Sharing Environment.
