The Pentagon is reprogramming unused Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle procurement and operations and maintenance funding to resource upgrades on existing vehicles. According to a Sept. 18 reprogramming action, the Defense Department is transferring back $376 million of fiscal year 2008 unobligated balances from various procurement and operation and maintenance appropriations to the MRAP vehicle fund.
