ARMY TO CONTRACT FOR 200 CERBERUS MOBILE BASE PROTECTION SENSORS

FT. BELVOIR, VA -- The Army plans to solicit bids for the forward operating base protection system Cerberus, with the intent to purchase some 200 units, according to an Army official. While plans have not been finalized, Michael Jennings, the deputy director at the Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD), said he expects the program manager for night vision, reconnaissance, surveillance and target acquisition to put the contract out for bids in the first quarter of fiscal year 2010...
