Pentagon Poised To Retire Nuclear-Tipped Tomahawk Missiles

The Defense Department appears poised to retire the nuclear-tipped versions of Tomahawk cruise missiles developed during the Cold War. The Obama administration has informally told Japan it will retire the missiles, known as TLAM/N for short, Kyodo News reported this week. The move is expected to become official with the release of the Pentagon's Nuclear Posture Review (NPR) report next month, but for now DOD is refusing to comment on the decision.
