The Defense Department today announced a possible $5 billion sale to the United Arab Emirates that would modernize and double the size of the UAE Apache helicopter fleet, a deal that would translate into new work for Boeing's operations in Mesa, AZ, and Lockheed Martin's unit in Orlando, FL.
