DOD Aims To Boost Talks With Industry Before Big Contract Awards

The Defense Department has proposed amending its acquisition rules to strongly encourage discussions with industry prior to making source-selection awards for procurements worth $100 million or more. The proposed change was recommended by the DOD Source Selection Joint Analysis Team, according to a Nov. 24 Federal Register notice concerning the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
