Increased Focus On Pricing Prompts DOD To Give Assad New Role

Underscoring its increased focus on pricing, the Defense Department has shifted senior Pentagon acquisition official Shay Assad to a new position as the director of defense pricing. The appointment, which came without fanfare late Tuesday in a listing of the department's Senior Executive Service announcements, also means Assad will no longer be the director of defense procurement and acquisition policy.
