An already delayed request for proposals for a new two-channel vehicular radio has been further interrupted because of an expected issue with a Pentagon request to reprogram funds for it, according to government officials. The RFP for the Mid-Tier Networking Vehicular Radio was initially expected in late February, but could face a further delay of up to three months due to complications involved in securing congressional approval for the reprogramming, according to an April 9 notice to industry.
