Raytheon's MAINGATE Waveform Accepted Into JTRS Repository

Raytheon officials announced last week that their Mobile Ad hoc Networking Waveform had been accepted into the Joint Tactical Radio System's waveform library, potentially clearing the way for the company to compete for the Army's new vehicular radio contract using their MAINGATE product. Army officials have stated that the service will only purchase radios which use waveforms already in the JTRS repository, and will not procure anything using proprietary waveforms.
