Air Force seeking next-generation ejection seat by FY-19

The Air Force is looking for industry input as it considers producing a next-generation ejection seat for some of its fighter and bomber inventory by fiscal year 2019. In a Sept. 29 draft system requirements document posted to the Federal Business Opportunities website, the service calls for information about the "current state and availability" of ejection seat providers who can develop a seat that meets safety and sustainment requirements and can be easily integrated into the existing crew ejection seat...
