Army Told Biotechnology May Increase Soldier Survivability

Biotechnology could someday improve the readiness and survivability of a soldier as drastically as information technology has revolutionized current forces, according to a report released yesterday by the National Research Council in Washington, DC. Further, the Army should consider establishing a corps of experts to examine potential military applications of biotechnology, according to the report, "Opportunities in Biotechnology for Future Army Applications."
