Army's GBSAA system becomes operational at Ft. Hood, next sites eyed

The Army has started flying unmanned aircraft at Ft. Hood, TX, using a ground-based, sense-and-avoid system to replace the use of chase planes or visual observers, according to the service officials overseeing the effort.
