Just in Case, Army Planning for Two More Iraq Rotations

Army Chief of Staff Gen. Peter Schoomaker told Congress today that he is preparing plans for two more rotations of troops to Iraq as a precautionary measure. The Pentagon is in the process of the largest troop movement since World War II. The forces who led Operation Iraqi Freedom have been returning home as fresh units, known as "OIF 2," trickle in to replace them. About a quarter of a million troops must move in a matter of months.
