Lockheed demonstrates launching aerial drone from unmanned submersible

Lockheed Martin recently demonstrated launching an aerial drone from its unmanned underwater vehicle, in what company officials believe is a first-time event. Lockheed and the Navy conducted the event in August during the service's Annual Navy Technology Exercise at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, RI. This year's event was held to demonstrate cross-domain communications and command-and-control capabilities.
