Lockheed, Raytheon-Boeing Team Awarded JAGM Development Contracts

The Defense Department today awarded Joint Air-to-Ground Missile development contracts to a Raytheon-Boeing team and Lockheed Martin, kicking off a competitive technology development phase for the next-generation system. The Raytheon-Boeing team was awarded a $125 million contract, while Lockheed Martin was awarded a $122 million contract. The two submitted the only bids for the JAGM program, which could be worth $5 billion over time. The contracts kick off a competitive risk-reduction phase in which the two teams will build prototypes...
