Mabus signs finalized 'CYBERSAFE' instruction

The Navy released the final version of an instruction guiding how the service will implement and manage its new "cybersecurity safety" program. The program, referred to as "CYBERSAFE," exists to provide "maximum reasonable assurance of survivability and resiliency of mission critical information technology . . . in a contested cyber environment in order to maintain mission capabilities," according to the Nov. 15 instruction signed by Navy Secretary Ray Mabus .
